1st Wednesdays Permaculture Reading Group

c_068404711x.jpg

Wanted to let folks know that the Portland Permaculture Guild (PPG) is starting up an intro-to-permaculture reading group, facilitated by Carla Bankston (of the PPG), and Leonard Barrett of Barrett Ecological Services.  The group will meet on 1st Wednesdays, and we’ll first be pouring through Rosemary Morrow’s Earth User’s Guide to Permaculture (2nd Edition).  This is a great intro text for many reasons, but perhaps one of the coolest features is this: The way the book is setup, when you’ve completed the excersises at the end of each chapter, you’ve created a complete design for your site!

The first meeting is next wednesday, November 5th, 7-9 PM at St. Francis Church’s Dining Hall at S.E. 11th and Pine (entrance on Pine).

You don’t need to have a copy of the book for the first meeting, and in fact, we’re incouraging people to buy their copy from Laughing Horse Books, which won’t have them in stock until a few days after the first meeting.  You can check their availability by calling 503-236-2893.

Drop an email to inquiries@barrettecological.com if you’re planning on attending or if you have any questions.  Hope to see you there!
